Privacy Policy
Effective October 29, 2026
The short version: LiliPad Math does not collect, store on servers, sell or share any personal information. There are no accounts, no advertising, no analytics and no tracking. Everything a family creates in the app stays on their own device.
Information kept on your device
To work, the app keeps the following only in its private storage on your iPad or iPhone:
- Player profiles: a name, an age, an optional math level, and an emoji or a photo chosen from your photo library. A chosen photo is cropped, resized and saved inside the app without its location or other metadata, and the app can only see the photos you pick.
- Math progress and settings: the problems each player has solved, stars, places in each game, and preferences such as voice, listening and celebration sounds.
We (the developer) never receive this information. It is not backed up to any server operated by us. Removing a player in the app deletes that player's profile, picture and progress. Deleting the app deletes everything.
Microphone and speech recognition
LiliPad Math listens through the microphone only after a player taps Say it, so answers can be spoken as well as tapped. Recordings are never saved. A grown-up can hide the Say it button in Parent corner.
- By default, speech is recognized on the device using Apple's speech recognition, and audio does not leave the device.
- A grown-up can choose Apple speech service in Parent corner. In that case audio is sent to Apple to be transcribed, under Apple's Privacy Policy. It is not sent to us.
Problems and hints are read aloud by the voices built into iOS.
Children's privacy
LiliPad Math is made for children and their families. Because we do not collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13, there is nothing for us to access, share or delete on our side. Parents control all information in the app and can remove it at any time from Parent corner.
Third parties
The app contains no third-party advertising, analytics, social or tracking software, and it does not link to outside websites.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
